Pseudocodon hirsutus
Although we grow many Pseudocodon quite easily, for some reason we struggle to get P.hirsutus established. Thank goodness our friend, Jane Leeds, has no problems with it as she keeps supplying us with seeds and the occasional tuber. As the name suggests, the lower leaves are extremely hairy and quite rounded and the stem only twines in the upper part, a habit it shares with P.graminifolius. It is endemic to China and grows in Sichuan and Yunnan.
